V-Day and B-Day
Hey, there. Just a quick note on this fine Valentine's Day to invite you to:
Brandon's Big Baltimore Birthday Bash Show on March 9th at Eutaw Place. Alliterative, right? This will be the biggest solo show I've ever played and I'm thrilled to be sharing the stage with the supremely talented Avi Wisnia. Not only that, but Flying Dog Brewery is holding a free beer tasting right before the show. Tickets are cheaper if you get them now, so here's my advice: get them right here right now. I'll be bringing along some friends to join me on stage, including a cellist (!), and I've been working hard to make sure this show is going to be great. I'm not a big self promoter, so I'll just say that if you're gonna come to one show, this is the one. Come help me celebrate my 30th birthday in a great venue with some good music and good beer. Hope to see you! All the best, Brandon On the occassion of Valentine's Day: Shows this Week + I'm in a Book!
Hey there.
Long time no talk. I hope this finds you after a (ful)filling Thanksgiving, and getting in gear for the holidays. Speaking of holidays - this is pretty cool - I'm in a book! It's called A Kosher Christmas by Joshua Plaut and published by Rutgers University Press. If you happen to pick it up and turn to page 76, you can read about a little song called Chinese Food on Christmas. In other news, I'm playing a show in Baltimore this Tuesday at the Metro Gallery. This will be my first Baltimore gig in a long time and I'm very excited about it. I'll be joining eight other performing songwriters that night for The 9 Songwriter Series, and it's going to be GREAT. Yeah, it's a Tuesday, but these people are seriously good and I know you'll be glad you came. Come oooooon! I'm also playing a gig at the Hamilton this coming Friday night in DC (it's upstairs in the loft late night). I'll post the details below. Hoping to see you at a show this week! Brandon Upcoming shows: Tuesday, November 27th at Metro Gallery in Baltimore 8-10pm $10 Friday, November 30th at the Hamilton in DC (upstairs in the loft) 11pm-2:30am So long, California!
Hey there. Man, it's been a while. Three years on the west coast went by so quickly, it almost feels like a dream. I've got this song I'm working on, and it basically says that sometimes it feels like I'm sitting in this quaint little hotel lobby, and at the front there's this revolving door where people keep coming in and out. I just wish some people would stick around a little longer, ya know? Not trying to get all trippy on you, that's just how I feel about my time in California. So many amazing people and such an awesome experience, and in the blink of an eye I'm back on the east coast. Though, I have to say, it feels good to be back.
So I've got a place in the DC area and already have a few shows on the docket. If you're in the area I'd love to see you. Also, I recently had the good fortune to write a song with Gina Schock, a fellow Baltimorean who is also the drummer from the Go-Gos (you know, We Got the Beat!). I'm working on the track now and hope to be able to share it with you soon. Also, if you're interested in booking me or me and some singer/songwriter friends for a house concert or other event, just get in touch and we can talk details! Keep enjoying the summer! All the best, Brandon Carol of the Bells (Dubstep Beatbox Remix)
And now for something completely different! I got together with my friend MC Eucalips and did our own version of Carol of the Bells. All percussion, scratches, wobbles, and funky sounds are coming from Eucalips' mouth. Thanks to Norman for the dramatic and quirky video. Enjoy! Download this track here.
Foggy Window Named "Best Song"!

I hope this finds you in the midst of an excellent summer. For me, I love to celebrate summer with my go-to, anthemic summer songs. Summer songs are those feel-good tunes that just ooze the care-free spirit of the summer (some of my go-to summer songs: Bachelor Number One's Summertime, Counting Crows' Mr. Jones and most recently, Andy Grammer's Keep Your Head Up). Ladies and gents, I present to you the latest Brandon Walker original, the very summery and very aptly named Summer Song. It's everything I love about summer...in a song. The video footage is from one of my favorite places in the whole world, Stone Harbor, NJ (I know, who woulda thunk, NJ!) where I just returned from a summer vacation with good friends and family. So please listen, enjoy, and feel free to comment. Here's to the rest of a great summer, filled with good friends, family and sunshine. All the best, Brandon Neon!
